Ten Christmas Beers You Need To Drink

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! For Beer that is! I always look forward to all the winter brews that come out (usually right after Halloween) to help celebrate the holidays with family and friends.

The choices seem endless, but there are some beers that stand out every year to me that makes this time of year so special.

This list is short, and there are many beers that I didn’t include, but these are among my favorites that I would recommend.

So without further ado, here is my Santa list of holiday beers!

Anchor Christmas Ale – The brewery tweaks the recipe every year so it’s always a surprise to see how it changes from year to year.  Read the full review here

St. Bernardus Christmas Ale – This is one of my favorite Belgian brews. After you drink this beer you will understand what separates Belgium beers from the rest of the world. See the video review here

 Samuel Adams Old Fezziwig Ale – I wish they put this beer in six packs (It’s only available in the holiday 12 pack) because I would buy this by the case. This beer would even put a smile on Scrooge’s face. Read the full review here

Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale – This beer put Christmas IPA on the map. I love IPA’s and this one is a yearly inhabitant of my fridge. Read the full review here

Tröegs The Mad Elf – I’m not a big fan of cherries but this big strong Belgian style ale makes drinking them a pleasure. Read the full review here

Boulevard Nutcracker Ale – I finally got Boulevard beer distributed in my area and I couldn’t be happier. The is one of my new Christmas favorites. The depth of flavor this English style Strong Ale is amazing! Read the full review here
