We live in a great country! A country that brews some awesome beers by some great American breweries. We also celebrate a lot of American holidays like Independence Day and Flag Day and honor our great American heroes who fought for our freedom on Memorial Day and Veterans Day. I made a list of some great beers to get you into the patriotic spirit!
Some of these beers have been around for years and brewed year round and others are one offs or are only brewed at certain times during the year.
The beers are not listed in any special order and the link to the full review and ratings of each beer can be found by clicking in the beer’s name.
So if you are looking for a beer for a patriotic holiday or just want a great beer for anytime of year, this list is for you! Cheers to some great patriotic beers!
Anchor Liberty Ale
This is a classic old school style IPA so don’t expect a hop bomb. This beer drinks more like a hoppier Pale Ale.
Stone Enjoy By
Another impressive brew in the “Enjoy By” series. Fruity and dank and easy to drink
Honor Golden Ale
A decent session blonde ale that’s brewed by vets. Thank you for your service and brewing this beer.
Victory Liberty Bell Ringer
Another awesome DIPA from Pennsylvania. Lots of citrus with some nice lingering bitterness on the finish. Let freedom ring baby!
Black Hog Easy Rye’ Da IPA
My first from this brewery and it was a spicy delight. Lots of citrus and the rye really elevated the flavor. Lots of weight for a session IPA.
Baxter Bootleg Fireworks
This brew was a hop slugfest. Not an easy drinking DIPA but it was worth the fight.
Yards Jefferson’s Golden Ale
I had this beer years ago when it was called Tavern Ale (maybe at a beerfest?) so I had to revisit it again and it is different but tasty. It’s a nice brew to drink if you don’t want a IPA or a stout.
Dogfish Head American Beauty
I’m not a Grateful Dead fan but I love Dogfish Head and this was tasty. It was almost like drinking a bowl of granola. Breakfast anyone?
Samuel Adams Sam ’76
Wow! Talk about a hybrid beer. This experiment from Sam Adams works for me. Very tasty and crushable . I’d love to see people’s faces when I tell them I’m drinking an Ale Lager.
Gun Hill Double Felix
My first from the brewery and it’s very good. The beer starts off tropical and ends up earthy and dank.
